Chapel Haven
For more than 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the resident DJ for Chapel Haven’s dances, parties, Weddings, Proms, Special Olympics team celebrations, and Best Buddies events. Over time, these events have become much more than gigs — the Chapel Haven community has truly become part of my extended family. Creating music-filled spaces where everyone feels included, celebrated, and free to be themselves has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life and career.
Chapel Haven Schleifer Center is a nonprofit organization based in New Haven, Connecticut, founded in 1972. It supports adults with developmental and social disabilities through innovative programs such as REACH and the Asperger’s Syndrome Adult Transition (ASAT) program. Serving more than 250 adults ages 18 and up, Chapel Haven fosters independence, self-determination, and community connection through education, residential living, and vibrant community life.
